In vitro study | Gambogic Acid is a caged xanthone, derived from Garcinia cambogia, which produces a strong apoptosis-inducing effect in many types of cancer cells by inhibiting human Bcl-2 family proteins and activating caspases. Gambogic Acid also blocks the Kir2.1 channel with EC50 ≤ 100 nM. Gambogic Acid significantly inhibited human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) proliferation, migration, invasion, angiogenesis, and microvascular growth at nM concentrations. |
In vivo study | Gambogic Acid can effectively inhibit tumor angiogenesis, and inhibit tumor growth, low side effects, for rhythm chemotherapy. Gambogic Acid has multiple functional effects, including induction of apoptosis, inhibition of proliferation, prevention of cancer metastasis and tumor angiogenesis. In animal tumor models and clinical trials, Gambogic Acid effectively inhibits tumor growth with minimal side effects and low toxicity to the immune and hematopoietic systems. Gambogic Acid is able to produce tissue-specific protease inhibition and tumor-specific toxicity. LD50: Mice 45 mg/kg (I. P.). |

use | gambogic acid has anti-cancer effect and has certain curative effect on breast cancer, lymphoma, skin cancer and gastric cancer. used for content determination/identification/pharmacological experiment, etc. Pharmacological effect: It has strong anti-cancer activity and has inhibitory effect on non-pathogenic protozoa in vitro. Clinical studies have proved that this product has a certain effect on breast cancer, lymphoma, skin cancer, and gastric cancer, but has no effect on the normal hematopoietic system and white blood cells. |
